View Full Version : New Dutchware product-Quilt hangers
Quilt hangers (http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/featured/hammock-quilt-clips-and-quilt-hangers/) are the simple solution to your quilt suspension. They are light at about 0.6 gram per pair. Easy to install, you just slide them on your shock cord. They function better than a carabiner; they orientate your shock cord so it runs down either side of your hammock with no twists. Once installed Quilt Hangers stay locked on the shock cord so you won’t be fumbling in the dark trying to hang your quilt. They are sold in pairs, you get one white Quilt Hanger and one black Quilt Hanger, so you will easily identify the head and foot end of your quilt. Dan and I had the opportunity to try these out on our last two hangs. They are super-light and work better than a set of s-biners. Recommended.
I picked up a set at the fall MAHHA raffle and love them!
How fast is shipping, generally? I've got a camping trip I'm going on this weekend and would love to try these!

I ordered these on Thursday night and they were here yesterday when I got home from work. I'm looking forward to trying them out on my full length 15F DIY UQ that is in the works.

Genius Dutch! I thought I was the only person around who was getting driven nutz by S-Biners. I like the suspension to run the right way, and on some of hammocks it works, and others it gets all gnarled up.
Will be ordering some of these!

These are acually Tato Gear but Dutch and Mac are so much easier on the eyes than me:D

This was the whole purpose for me designing these. I absolutely hated the S-Biners because they where constantly getting caught on the whoopie. And in the winter time when your hands just aren't working like they should, this could cause you to say a few choice words:eek:

I got a set of these at Mahha, and they work exactly as described, I will say though I have an affliction with Ti and would love to see a Ti version of these....

I could make them out of Ti but why. It would triple the cost and if you need Ti to hold up your UQ, I think you need a new UQ.

I was thinking that too for my incubator. If the two cords don't fit, I was planning on larks heading a small loop of single shock cord onto the two UQ cords then onto the new DQH.
Dutch and Tato FTW. I will be ordering a pair soon.

Ha - or a wash! Seems that titanium is trying to take over the world (seeing references all over recently) and I wanted to be ahead of the domination!

As I was constantly waking up last weekend at MAHHA pulling my under quilt up on my shoulders, I thought, there has to be a better way to keep this thing in place. Wa La . . . Dutch Quilt Clips! I won a set in the raffle on Saturday night.

i had one break also. must have got too much thigh on the UQ not the hammock. Have to agree with Shug on the strength of plastic. still, they worked great until I broke one... too clumsy these days
Probably better a broken quilt hanger then a torn quilt. Surely cheaper to repair and good to know to have a couple to replace at home.
