Please forgive me but fabric is one area where my knowledge is lacking a little. I sent an inquiry to PapaSmurf but don't want to bother him and take him away from making his hammocks.

Can anyone briefly run down the difference in fabrics that he offers. I am curious as to the way they feel to the hand as well as when lying in it. Are some flatter than others (in single layer) or feel softer than others?

For reference, I have ENO's, a WBBB, a BIAS Weight Weenie, a GT Nano 7 and a TTTG Switchback LH so if anyone has any of these and can compare them to PapaSmurf's I'd aprreciate it.

I've already read that page. It doesn't give the info I want but Randy replied to my e-mail - thanks Randy.

So other than the load limit, those with experience, could someone please extol the advantages (drawbacks?) of the different materials? I own one hammock made of 1.0 ripstop (I think the same material used in the Darien UL). I just placed a DB order with a 1.6 bottom. I would consider changing the material if I new of an advantage gain! I weigh about 205#, so all options are available to me and I plan on staying single layer.
