I tend to be a side sleeper and sometimes will even roll onto my stomach in my hammock. So I like a hammock that can provide a fairly flat lay. Currently using a WBBB 1.7dbl that I find has a pretty good flat lay. I'm wondering how flat and comfortable the Dangerbird is and how it compares to the WBBB?

I like the looks of this hammock with the fabric options, color options, bug netting, overcover, and suspension system. But I require a large hammock that can provide a nice flat lay...

Thanks for the help!

I believe with the fact that you can customize a wider width on the dangerbird it allows for a flatter lay.

I ordered a 11' long by 72" wide cause Im a taller guy and from what I've been told this will provide not only a flatter lay but more room for comfort in even side sleeping.

Once I get it I will certainly be able to tell you for sure...but from what I've been told the wider the better for flatter lays. :)

Width helps some, but most of the added flatness and comfort is from the length. That 11 foot is nice.

I'm still waiting on my Dangerbird to be built next week to do a direct comparison (I have a Blackbird already) but from reports I've read, most find the Dangerbird even more comfortable (which is saying something because the BB sure is nice).

I have a wbbb and used it for a couple yrs then the WL night owl 11ft with knotty mod, it has a great lay, as I'm a side sleeper and while the wbbb was good, I had some trouble with calf pressure, then got one of the first dangerbirds and haven't looked back, must have a hundred nights in it and along with night owl, both superb quality, the DB is 11ft by 60in but no problem side and even stomach, I'm 6'4' 230, can't praise papa smurf and dangerbird along with WL night owl enough, both excellent, and they get used, a lot, with no sign of wear, my 2cents, jim
