Hi All Im planing to headout to Lake Maria State Park on Sat 2/16/13 for a over nighter. Let me know if you are interested, I would like to meet some new people, and this will be my first winter hang outside of the backyard beyond testing. :scared: Should only be a short hike in to a campsite.

Nice park for winter camping. I wish I could go but have plans for Saturday. Depending on the campsite you may need to bushwhack off trail to avoid the ski trails. I usually camp at site 17 for winter camping. Pretty close to the main parking lot closest to the park office.

Wish I could join you, but I have plans that I cannot break. I have not had my setup out in the winter. All these threads about getting out has me thinking about trying it.:D

I can make it....well I mean I think my wife will let me go :)

I have some things with the family to take care of, but I should be able to make for an overnighter! Would be nice if a few more wanted to join.

Dang sounds like I missed out on some fun. I forgot one of my top quilts so it was a cold hang for me. Luckily I had a nice fire to warm up by. Next time I will learn to communicate better and maybe hang with the group!

I usually hang at Afton so this was a nice change of scenery. It was also nice being able to gather your own wood. Thanks for the tip on another nice state park.

I'm a big fan of Afton too. Should put together another hang there soon

It was a good time, was really pushing my 20* bag and my underquilt, when it hit 3*, but I made it though the nite, was nice to not have to accually use the tarp, now someone need to come up with a way to pee and not have to get out and not be in a peepool.
