Yea, I know it’s early in the year.

I’m just suggesting we think about it so perhaps more can work their schedule to come.

When do we want to have another winter campout? And, where do we want to have that winter campout?

I really liked Mt Rogers at the wise shelter, so I vote for that location! My reasoning: Lots of water nearby, PLENTY of trees to hang from, close to (& an easy walk) to the trailhead, right on the AT. BUT, I would also like to see other areas of the country. My 2nd vote would be somewhere in the Red River Gorge & 3rd for SNP.

As I am off Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday & Monday, I vote for November (1st), 2nd, 3rd & 4th. OR: in keeping with the "Annual" idea Jan (24th) 25th, 26th & 27th.

Way too early? Yep, but like I said, this is just vaguely a planning post, we still have to get thru spring & summer as of this posting, & the SEHHA hangouts will mostly take care of those seasons.

BTW: I will bring the marshmallows.

Well I would throw in my vote, but we all know what happened last time.

I am not sure where I am going to end up. It is looking to be about a 90% chance I will land in Denver. If so I will organize one out there.:D

at this point i'd have to vote for mt rogers area again, but i'll try to go where ever it is if at all possible.
why don't we still have the annual in jan, but still do one in nov too?

I'm always up for a trip, as long as logistics permit...just let me know when and where!

I would vote for Red River Gorge or perhaps somewhere in the Big South Fork Area (http://bigsouthforkpark.com/)? Mt. Roger's would also be fine with me.

Sounds like the Mt Rogers location would be great for Jan. and maybe the Dec one at RRG.

I'd vote for Mt. Rogers again, although I'd be willing to go anywhere as long as it's relatively close-by.
