View Full Version : CLOSED:Hammock Forums T-Shirts
Okay, so who else have still not received their T-shirt. I am a very patient person, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Maybe it is because I use to print shirts as a job at one point, and I know how long it takes. All I know is this is crap.
EDIT: I am sure it is not you ATTroll, and is the printing company.

sorry i can't tell you more, but jeff did mention that his work would be keeping him away from the computer for a while & i herd mention of problems w/ the white blaze site. i don't know if that's been resolved or not.
Sorry guys and girls. I have been busy working on the journal system on WhiteBlaze and I also had some other things going on besides fighting a cold.
I got the shirts in the mail about 1/2 hour ago. I have them all in the packages now.
The only problem is that one of the three people that did not get their shirts asked me to get them a medium and I can not remember who it was. So if that person could remind me so I know what packages to put it in then I will get them in the mail as soon as they tell me.

Not me. I am waiting on a 2XL.

The mafia logo idea got whacked if you will.:D
The new idea for the shirt has been discussed here:

It was me.
I have the medium sitting in front of me. Did you pay for it and if so do you remember how and what date? Please send me the info in a PM.

I'm still waiting on my shirt. Hopefully I will receive it this weekend. It's been a long journey already for this particular shirt.

Holly crap, another shirt gone missing. This has gotten to be a real pain in the butt for me. I can not find any record right now of shipping your shirt. I will look in my files some more and see if I can find it and a tracking number. If not then we will have to work something out. I will PM you with what I find out.

Ok Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm sorry it's working out to be a PIA.
Ok Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm sorry it's working out to be a PIA.
It is not your fault or anyone elses. I have taken on a lot with the WhiteBlaze web site lately. I have been spending a lot of time on fine tuning the journal system we are going to release hopefully soon.
I received my shirt today. The shirt itself is a nice quality, but I have to say; get a new printer. They didn't center up the design. The quality of the ink is great, and they did a good job of lining the colors up. But maybe I am being too picky because I use to print shirts. Anyway, between that and their inability to deliver a complete order on time, I would say not to ever use them again.
ATTroll, great work on getting all this together. I am sure we were all a PIA, and it probably wasn't worth it, but I do appreciate your efforts.

Oh, I'm not blaming anyone. I'm just a bit frustrated, being the last one and all. :)

Well, you should have opened your mouth a bit more and spoke louder. ATTroll just didn't want to hear me complain anymore. If it weren't for me being one of the only mediums, he probably would have sent me someone else's, I bet.

What I was saying is that you can blame me on yours. I dropped the ball. I am at fault on your shirt. I have been so busy lately and have taken on more projects then I can handle. I am not trying to make excuses but there is a lot more going on behind the scenes then anyone can even imagine right now with some things I have in works for WhiteBlaze.

Understood. It's just a shirt. Thanks for all you do for us here. Maybe you could send me a Whiteblaze shirt (XL, assuming you have any in stock) and I'll order a hammockforums shirt again when the next order goes out? Just asking. :)

Oh, awesome. Whoohooo! I appreciate it. I'm sorry this order was such a PIA for you. Hopefully the next one will go a bit smoother for everyone. Looking forward to seeing the new stuff on WB, which will hopefully trickle down to HF. Thanks again.
I've found another option for t-shirts or whatever that may be of interest - cafepress.com. I haven't yet bought from them myself but it seems like it'll work fine and not be too expensive - everyone can order his/her t-shirt or whatever individually and get it shipped directly, using the hammockforums logo or of course anything else. I tested that with the logo on the back of a sweatshirt, and it looks good to me, see attachment.
A t-shirt would be from 14 USD plus shipping, this sweatshirt would be 25.
Anyone has any experience of the site/service?

I've dealt with them before. They print and ship quite quickly, but the printing is of medium quality. It will start to flake off after a few washes.

Do you remember whether they used Direct Printing or Heat Transfer? According to their website, that will happen with Heat Transfer but not with DP...

I've got a Hammock Forums hat they made me. It is real small and you can hardly read it. Quality is low.

maybe something in an under armor (whatever synthetic those are) vs cotton:cool:

The previous were a polyester. Under Armour type would be OK as long as it's not the tight stretchy type. That type is not real flattering on a lot of us!
I'm kind of anti Under Armour. Worse than camo. It's called Under Armour. It is ment to be worn underneath jersy's. Not as the outer layer.
I know this isn't completly true with some of the other product lines they have now. This just spans from my rowing days when people thought that could wear them as regular shirts. That goes along with spandex is a privilage, not a right.
I still vote for a non-hiking shirt. Long live cotton. I like to cycle through my base layer shirt. Who wants to be smelly and dirty?
Plus Under Armour shirts alone run $40, imagine a logo company working with that. There is a t-shirt company in town. I could check with them but everyone would have to agree on an a logo design that would look good on multiple shirts. The thing that sometimes cost so much is the changing of designs. Real easy to print same design on multiple shirts.

I'd still like a shirt. Mine was the only one that didn't get delivered through the last ordering process (and how long ago was that?). I'd still like an HF shirt if we're cranking up interest for another order.
