View Full Version : New here from Michigan
Hey guys, I've been hearing about this place in Grand Haven called the tree of life but haven't been able to find it. Can anyone help me out?
Can't help ya but welcome aboard from the UP!
I live in Holland about 20 miles south of Grand Haven. Welcome! Are you looking for hiking trails? I've never heard of what you're talking about???
I've heard about and seen a picture of this big old tree in the Grand Haven area that is called the tree of life and its apparently really cool because it is high up for mocking and there are just tons of names carved into it. Yet can't seem to locate it
Could be in the Rosy Mound trails... other than that your guess is as good as mine.

let us know if you stumble upon it
Ok, I'm going to go look there before work tomorrow and if I find it I'll throw some pictures up
I lived in Grand Haven my entire life and have never heard of it but I can think of a couple of trees that it could be.

Welcome from a transplanted Michigander.
Same here. I was raised in Kalamazoo and for a short time Grand Rapids.

Grew up in Elk Rapids, have family in Kalamazoo. That was long ago.
I miss Michigan dearly!
+1 Folks moved to AZ when I was in college, and the Marines sent me to NC, so I have had little opportunity to go back.
Hey at least you're in good weather!
If you call temps >85 with >80% humidity (about 75% of the year) good weather.
I would rather see the 100+ temps with 5% humidity that my mom sees.
But the Lord, has me in NC for his purposes.
