I took my Boy Scout troop on the Cross Timbers Trail this past weekend. I took my GPS to create a digital trail and I have transferred that to a USGS topo map. I believe this to be the most accurate map of the Cross Timbers Trail I have seen.

The Western most part of the trail is not nearly as well marked as the Eastern part of the trail. Because of that, the first mile or so of the Western trail on my map is on Rock Creek Camp Road, Rock Creek Road, and just a little of Paw Paw Creek Road. The Eastern part of the trail from Juniper Point all the way West to Paw Paw Creek Road is accurate to the trail.

I hope this will be helpful to those of you who enjoy this trail. If you would like the original 11x17 map as a 150ppi Jpeg, send me a PM with your email and I'll email it to you.

If you would like to display that GPX file of the troop's hike using an online hi-res topo map and showing a UTM grid, then you can do so with Gmap4.

This link displays the topo map and UTM grid where your troop hiked:

To show your GPX data on the map:
1. Put your GPX file online. Almost anywhere will work. Google Sites will host your file for free.
2. Get the full http link that points to your file.
3. Paste that link over the following underline:
http://www.mappingsupport.com/p/gmap4.php?t=t4&coord=utm&q=__________________
4. Paste the completed Gmap4 link into a browser address box and hit enter.
