I was wondering how many folks pack larger tarps like the 12x10 for 3 season use and not just in the winter.

I am in the process of a DIY 10X12 as we speak. Just took a break after having to rip a seam. Sure does take patience. I am excited about it, as I think it will offer protection and some privacy for my wife when we go with groups.

I use a DIY 12 x 10 cat cut most now. Looking into making a smaller fair weather tarp if I ever get around to it.

What size would you have if you had a round tuit?

My large HH Hex Winter tarp will be for my wife to have some privacy. Then in the winter... it's mine to stay warm.

Nice one. Not going to talk about how long it has been since I used my hammock. Planning on fixing that when I get a kayak and motorcycle this summer.

I think I voted for the wrong one. I should be on 12x10 with Cannibal.

I accidentally voted wrong too. I use my 10X12 cat tarp all year, especially if I am with my son. I have been thinking about carrying my 8X10 this summer though, but that will only be when I am solo.

my reasoning for useing a 11 X 10 Speer winter tarp was mainly for options. I would like to sew on some tie backs for when doors are not needed. I really wanted doors on my tarp for the unexpected and we all know how mother nature can be. That's why I have the speers winter tarp.

That's my thought too. It's great to have the extra room to wait out the rain. I set mine up a few times during the day to wait out the rain. It's nice not to have to sit in the rain and eat lunch.

Not me, I go into weenie-mode in the summers with my MacCat Spinn Standard. More room for munchies!:D

Just tie the doors to each other as Master Youngblood teaches, young padawan.

I use short pieces of 1/8" bungie cord on my doors. I also use these to pull my doors back and connect them to the doors, on the other end, to hold both ends open. You can also connect them to the closest stakes to open only one end.

I couldn't vote: I use a 13.5 x 10 for FOUR season camping. :D
