Stingray,
I noticed in that last pic you're wearing a Philmont shirt and I can't quite make out the details:
802-CV-2????
C.L.E.M.M.

Care to interpret.

802-CV-2003
CLEMM

The 802-CV indicates our number and that we were Cavalcade. 2003 is the year I went. For some reason I'm having a brain fart and can't remember what the CLEMM stands for at the moment.

8 is the month, 02 is the day you left.
I was thinking that CV stood for Cavalcade. I'm still working on CLEMM.
Hmmm?????

How often do you guys go? I live in LR and I have been wanting to float/hike/camp the river and the area. I am still waiting for my first hammock to come in, it is the Hennessy Expedition Asym.

I meet my family to go every year, but I do a lot of hiking by myself throughout the year. I'm a medical student who's currently studying for my licensing exam, so I won't be doing anything until after June 23. PM me if you want to get some hikes put together.

I can't believe you have a cabin on the buffalo but still live in IL. I'm from central IL and I promise you I won't ever be back for more than a short visit. Nanny state with high taxes and mentally retarded legislators... no thanks. I left for med school and feel like I escaped from Alcatraz or something.

I'm making a connection... you're asking about a "guest hammock" for your brother now? After he got soaked and you were dry?
(in the "second hammock" thread)

That's it! He really loved my BB and I'm convinced he was trying to knock me out of the canoe so he could sleep in it.

C'mon! I'm not made of money here! (it's actually starting to look like I might be made of debt.). Another forum member made me a very good deal on a lightly used HH ULBA with the undercover. So, hammock, tarp, and insulation, all quite a bit cheaper than a BB. His B-day is already passed, but I usually hang onto his presents until I see him unless it's something small and cheap to mail.

If you already have the Super Shelter Undercover, just order the pads from Hennessy.

That's the plan, although we won't need the pads for our trip in June. It'll be too hot. That will give him a chance to make sure he likes it before ordering the pad.

Is there a SS overcover as well?

Il. is a wonderful state, we have more ex governors in jail than any other state, and we are about to put one more in! However I own a bunch of central Il. (w. of springfield)farmland and their aint none better! and it did not crash wih the current crisis. I ignore the gov. and get to the Buffalo when I can. No one lives directly on the Buffalo and Gilbert is the only town (pop. 33!) on the river, our place is 1/2 mi. n on a gravel rd. Whiporwills, turkey deer and now armadillos! gnome
