Place has plenty of trees and kettle ponds.
Nickerson State Park has much to offer.

I suppose it depends how far out on the Cape you are, but the White Mountains are only about 2 hours north of Boston and Monadnock region is a bit closer. Some nice hikes and hanging within driving distance!

===> LOTS of hanging options here! Also check the NEHHA group hangs. Nickerson State Park, and several others in the area are good hanging spots. One hour North or West put you in great hanging territory. Two hours puts you in the White Mnts of NH, or the Green Mtns in Vermont.

Not to worry! Stay with the NEHHA threads for group hangs in the state, or close by!

I will, and thank you for the information and the excitement in your email. I was a little disappointed to learn I will be further from the AT than I already am.

I've got some backpacking trips and hikes on my youtube channel in the area. Mostly up in the White Mountains. None were hammock trips but plenty of places to hang for sure.

I know of a good dead tree on Coast Guard Beach but you would have to get a jeep or something down there to hang the other side of your hammock on.
Just kidding , I took this picture a few years ago. There is lots to do on the cape itself. I have spent a lot of time there. Once you get past Orleans there is little if any commercialism. There is a really nice, easy flat biking rail trail that runs parallel with RT 6 and goes all the way to the dunes near P-town. Lots of locally owned camp grounds all over the place that are on the trail. Some of them don't allow fires so check first. There are a couple of nice wild life sanctuaries. Lots of uhhem stealth opportunities as well.
Myles Standish state park is nearby for hanging and hiking. If you want a good hike try the skyline trail in the Blue Hills Milton/Canton.
