Hi, does anyone have 2-4 rappel rings they would sell? I found some on Ebay but the shipping seems to kill the deal. I can pay with Paypal if it works for you? Thanks

Shipping will still kill you unless you can find somebody local. If there is a climber group around you they might have some ideas or you could get into a group buy.

I'd poke around the different dealers. Business's that ship much can do it a lot cheaper than an individual. You might be surprised at what you can turn up by trying some of the different vendors. Some low ball the price and get you on shipping. Always check out far enough to get a quote then kill the sale before giving them your credit card number.

If you have an REI, Dicks, or EMS any place near you then order them into the store and go pick them up. Way cheaper than shipping them.

For your consideration:
If you want to give rings a test-drive or, like me, you're too cheap to buy them for $4 each, you could get a couple links of chain and use those. I went to the hardware store down the street. They sell chain by the foot. I bought a foot and asked if I could use their hydraulic cutter (which is fun in itself). I busted out four individual links of some playground chain that has a 580 lb SWL. Cost me $2.50 to try that method.
They work great.

Before you purchase, give me 24 hours to search my gear box. I'm pretty sure I have four of those (the ones that DIY Gear Supply sells) that're collecting dust. If I can find 'em, I'll send 'em to you for the cost of shipping. I'll let you know as soon as I've dug out the box.

You can also get some suitable rings for a dry run at home depot. I started with a carbineer and rings but ended up dropping them to save some weight and now use whoopee slings.

I do have them, four of them (enough for one hammock). PM me your information, and I'll get them out to you by Tuesday night. I'll let you know what shipping came to (I'll be using the cheapest USPS flat rate envelope) and my PayPal stuff then.
