The SSL certificate has expired and we are renewing it now. I did renew the certificate over a week ago but the tech team that installs the certificate seems to have forgotten about it. I have sent an emergency ticket in to get it renewed. This should be resolved with in 24 to 48 hours. I am very sorry for this.

That would explain the error earlier.

Things are behaving better already. But, it's scary when we can't get our HF fix!

Is this whole certificate thing is what's causing this?

What is an SSL certificate? I got the error on my computer too. Do all websites have or need these?

Short answer is that it is a way to get secure data exchanges for things like credit card data. It also authenticates the end to end connection. Probably not a big issue here most of the time but it is nice to have in case. They may also be using it for the donating member check. I don't know or care. ;-)

Longer answer look here:

If that is too simple for you then why did you ask? ;-))

Cool, thanks. I just started a blog and wondered if it was something that I needed but I found my answer!
