No. Not calf pressure.

Not an uncomfortable lay.

Not crappy customer service.

I'm talking about this order status list.

What kind of company tortures their customers by teasing them like this?

Every day I check. Every hour. :(

Refresh. No change. :scared:

Refresh. No change.

Sew faster!

SEW FASTER I SAY!!

Hahaha It's definitely great build up of anticipation! I'm with you in checking every day. I try not to because I know it will just make it seem longer. But at the same time, checking for my order is like pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming and that I REALLY WILL be getting a Dream Hammock in the near future. It's like watching and waiting for a pot to boil.

I bet there is some psychological study here that would show that we appreciate our Dream Hammock so much more because of the several weeks we obsess over getting our recent order. I know I will!

Order #798!!

Last fall I struggled through the same torture (order 622)... So worth it! I never leave for the woods without my T-bird.
Take it easy on Randy, huh, no good rushing an artist of his caliber.

You'll have to take it up with the new Production Supervisor.

Its worth every second of waiting. After mailing and asking more questions, Randy answered them asap. Which led to some subtle changes to my order. I now am happy i've made the changes. So in a way i was happy with the wait you have to go through. My T-bird is mine forever now. :) Awesome handcraft.

I was checking my order, #788 every couple of days and the anticipation was killing me. A few days went buy without checking and it was at my door. Sweet!!!

I actually missed the priveledge of seeing my # on the display. 619 was on the display then bam! I got a shipping notice. 3 days later I was in hanging heaven. It was a little anticlimactic but nonetheless I got one awesome hammock.

#798 Ditto!! Can't wait!

Does anyone know if Randy ships them as they are built or all at once at the end of the week?
I'm hoping to get mine by end of week or early next week...

We work throughout the week building all the individual pieces & parts to your hammock, then we assemble and ship at the end of each week.

I've been thinking about ordering that exact hammock, Izraelius. Just need to decide if I want the night grid, or some other fabric.

Izraelius: That's a killer looking hammock. What width is it? Was there any custom work done? Do you have a final weight of your hammock? Sorry for so many questions it's just I am on the fence for either a Gnome or Darien in Night Grid Camo. Thanks

Izraelius
03-13-2014, 14:29
The widest the night grid camo comes in is 61", which is plenty of room and gives a really flat lay and I'm 6'1".

I added an extra zipper which makes it SO MUCH EASIER to get in and out of.

I also added pack hooks to make adding an UQ and tying it out easier.

I don't have the final weight yet, but judging by my previous set up I bet it's about 22oz (including tree straps, toggles, tie out shock cord). I'm an ultralight nut (sub 8lb pack base weight) and am more than happy to carry the weight of the 1.8 for what I feel like I'm gaining in comfort and appreciation/pride in my gear.
