Im working on my video editing skills.
Hopefully there will be notable improvements from previous short films.
You'll have to give me some time, as editing is going very slowly.
For now, i've posted up the teaser trailer.

This trip was most seriously the craziest and most ambitious adventure
I have ever done. I will not be topping this trip for gruelling physical
demands, life threatening situations, or challenges of filming any time
soon. There's no danger pay yet for HTV film crews. But at least we
walked away with pant loads of valuable 'life experience'.

I recognize that music from the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Maybe you could make the first hammocking/paddling film to make the festival circuit.

IThis trip was most seriously the craziest and most ambitious adventure I have ever done.

You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din! :scared:

Add a notch or two to the classification of that river for the "what if something goes wrong" factor. I'd be up for kayaking the rapids but not in such a remote location.

In Episode 1 you were rafting through Southern Ontario on the Thames river. You probably passed right through my old home town, Chatham. Yes Southern Ontario is densely populated, but there are enough 'wild areas' that a person could easily travel from one lake to the next unbothered.

Stick to the farming areas, most farms have 'woodlots' that are not fenced in and near the back roads for easy stealth camping.

Hey guys, sorry to keep you waiting. But I came home from this trip to
a surprising turn of life events. My wife had decided explore 'the greener grass' on the other side of the fence. It was apparently more to her liking.
And so .... Marriage terminated. sorry bout your luck.
Please send your child support promptly.

So ya ... been dealing with that for a few months.

Been doing a few solo trips. long days, off trail... little gear ....
5 lbs of whiskey, a hammock, and no cameras.

Anyways ... the bulk of my video both raw and editied for The Dog River expedition resides on a computer I no longer have access to. So I am
afraid I must apologize for not sharing what I feel is my best attempt at
entertainment to date.

I have a few scraps and tidbits from this trip that were not yet deleted
from a couple of flash cards that I may yet attempt to paste into some
kind of trip summary, but I am not really sure there is enough decent
video to warrant that.

Haven't been around the forum for a couple months, but I am semi - returned
and will proceed to make more videos and share hammock experiences.

Good to see you return Turk.

sorry to hear about that surprise Turk. Others of my friends have been similarly blind-sided, the pain of it is evident.

you're clearly a survivor though and will weather this storm.

Well Turk, if there is one thing your videos have showed me, you can take an unscheduled turn of events.
I'm sorry for your unexpected events, but you will overcome and be stronger when the storm passes.

sorry to hear that turk. whiskey isn't a cure for your problems, but it sure tastes good goin' down. I know you'll get through it, and you still have all your friends here to help.

Other than the legal arrangement, I've been down that same terrible path; I feel for you. No pain more acute.
Chin up, there's always a great campsite just around the corner. :)

Sorry to hear about this Turk. It stinks to high heaven and there is no putting a rosy filter on it, at least not in the near term. I can say that many a man has been exactly where you are at, and who knows maybe even a few of us at this forum have been there. Just "hang" in there, so to speak, until life gives you something good again. I mean something other than hammocks and whiskey, nice though they can be. Because the odds are 99 to 1 that things will be much better later on, even if it takes a while for healing.
