dose it really matter if they are at the head or foot end. is the UQ tapered or straight
White tabs are for reference to instructions and referred to as the head end.

Yea I get that. But will it affect how the uq preforms if they are at my foot end. The reason I ask is on my BMBH I can only enter and exit on one side, so if I put the tabs at the head end. The striped side will be on the wrong side,the side I can't enter

I am no expert, but I hang my UQ with the white tabs at the foot, and it works well. If the quilt were tapered at the foot end it would matter and I don't think Paul's are.
