Donna here...

This thread is for information I don't want buried in the planning thread located here... https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?87858-2014-Spring-MAHHA-April-25-27th-Official-Planning-Thread .

I will need a final head count for the Saturday Supper by the evening of Monday April 14th. I need a head count for the Pig Roast and the Whoopie Pies. If you are attending, and haven't put your name on the sign up spreadsheet, please do so. You will find the link on the planning thread. If by the 14th, you still are not sure you will be coming, and therefore don't want to sign up yet, please send me a PM and let me know.

I also want to make sure everyone didn't think I was limiting the food to what was suggested on the spreadsheet. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to share. I don't think it is possible to have too much food for 130+ people!

Please double check your entries on the attendance spreadsheet to make sure all areas that need a number...has a number. Even if your number is 0, Thanks!

TZ is bringing something to heat water for the breakfast. I am bringing some cups, hot chocolate and instant coffee individual bags...but not enough for everyone. Feel free to bring your cup and some hot drink to make. EDIT: I picked up some instant flavored oatmeal and a few more single coffee servings today(Friday).

Parking...I have found a place for overflow parking if we have too many cars in the parking lot at the camping area. It is about 2 miles down into the State Forest at the Piney Mt. Parking lot (map will say ATV parking). Hopefully we won't need this, but if we do, we will need to coordinate with anyone willing to go down and bring people back up that need to leave their cars down there. Also, anyone leaving their car down there will need a paper from us that I will have premade to put on the dashboard. Reminder for those coming just for the day Saturday...You will need to park in a day use area parking lot...not in the Group Camping Area parking lot.

Name Tags...As you know...[o]TTeR is making name tags again this year!:) A note from him:
I ran through the first round of tags on the weekend, just like previous years, I always send a draft for acceptance before printing, for those who have a tag in progress, the Spread Sheet will have either (P) proof sent, (A) has been accepted via PM or (D) Done (printed & Laminated). No worries for those that haven't seen a proof yet, I'm working on the rest of the list this weekend and will get you everyone. For those that make any changes after I've sent proofs, please contact me, especially if your adding someone (I always worry I'm going to miss someone). The last date I can work on Tags is Tuesday April 22nd, please don't leave any requests to the last minute.

Last but definitely not least...Please read Pan's post numbers 110 & 143 in the planning thread.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Hey everyone...I forgot to include in the first post...

If you have a portable hammock stand, and would be able to bring it...and don't mind loaning it to someone, or using it yourself...please bring it. This is just in case we run out of hanging trees.

Thanks!

That parking lot is up the steep hill from the Group Campsite. The old ridge dirt road starts there and goes south into Michaux State Forest. No cars allowed on the ridge road.

Crash...Thank you for the information, but, my apologies...I'm not sure I understand what you are saying about Ridge Road. I have had contact with someone from Michaux State Forest, and since the parking lot will be closed to ATV vehicles until May, we have been given permission to use that parking lot if needed. If there is something I don't know, that I should know, please let me know.

Thanks!
