Would anyone be interested in joining me on the AT? Id like to knock of the 50 miles of trail in Connecticut.
I was thinking of doing it around memorial day weekend. I already have some time off for memorial day so I was going to add some extra days to it. Thinking 5 or 6 days would work great depending on the pace we'd set.
Im open to different dates if need be. Let me know if your interested!

I was thinking starting friday AM and going till Tuesday or Wednesday to finish all of CT
I'd join you but I'll be doing the AT north from route 9 Vt that same weekend..

Awesome.
This is my first big AT section hike in a long time. I figured knocking out a whole state (even if it is only 50 miles) would feel like more of accomplishment haha.
Interested. Need to check with my better half and see if I can time it right.

If anyone would like to meet up and just do a few miles for a day or 2 it looks like there's plenty of hop on and off points along this section of AT. Im sure we could work something out.
Im still tweaking the details for this hike but should have everything worked out by middle of next week.
I might be able to do this. I'll know as we get closer to the date.

So, as of right now im shooting for the following:
Arrive at Southern end of trail friday evening after work and hike 3 miles to first shelter.
Then hike saturday - Tuesday (maybe Wednesday) to finish out all of CT.
Still working on stop "checkpoints" for each day.
Just confirming....
Is this still kicking off on Fri. 24th - Tues/Wed?

As of now it is still on. As of right now confirmed is just my brother and me, would be glad to have anyone join us if they want to. We're planning friday evening (should have a good idea of exact meetup time next week) short hike (3 miles) to the first camp area and then spreading out the hike to finish up on wednesday at Mt. Everett in Mass.
Starting point parking - 41°38'27.8"N 73°31'12.6"W
End point parking - 42°06'24.7"N 73°26'09.2"W
I don't have my map in front of me but we're looking at between 10-15 miles per day. Tuesday night i'd like to camp in Mass so we can have a relaxing night by a fire (no fires in CT) and then have a short hike out wednesday morning.
