That's how Jared rolls! Fast, simple and light. Post a review and some pics when you get it out hanging. Did you go with 1 side or removable net option?

Please post a review when you receive it.

I just ordered a full suspension kit from Jared and he informed me it will ship tomorrow morning. Amazingly fast turn around, excellent communication and an unbeatable price.

Zips all the way around, but not removable. Two pulls so I can put the entry anywhere.

Should be here Saturday and I will post soon after.

Suspension pics... I had Jared put different colored amsteel continuous loops so I could tell head end from foot.

Jared installs the continuous loops through the channel as an option. I'm not sure it affects anything, but it allows for easy suspension changes if needed and puts the buckle close to the hammock for sure tarp coverage.

This isn't a lightweight unit... I tend towards bulletproof over light weight. Double layer 2.4, 3000lb. straps, #5 zipper.

I love it!!

Head end bag for storing the bug net when unzipped, or any belongings when the net is deployed. The bag is attached to the peak via a mitten hook to a grosgrain loop sewn into the peak.

There will be no claustrophobia in this bad boy.

11.5' x 70"

I am 5'11" and 185#....the hammock barely knows I'm in it.

In lieu of starting a new thread to review the Trail Lair, I'm adding my comments here after purchasing a 10' Trail Lair in 1.6 oz grey with removable net a few weeks ago. I've been a customer of Jared's for almost 2 years and have had nothing but positive things to say about the quality of his products, customer contact, and willingness to always go the extra mile. I got interested in an integrated system after seeing a buddys (made by a different vendor) in use this past spring. I was using a SLD Streamliner 10 1.9 oz with a modified Sea to Summit bug net attached to the tarp. This worked pretty good, but it was clunky to use, and getting the underside closed off usually resulted in a few unwanted visitors. This was my motivation to start looking for a new system.

About the TR: Mine is the single layer and it holds my 180 pound, 5' 10" frame perfectly. It TR also fits well under my SLD Trail Haven 11 Tarp with about one foot or so to spare on each end. When I hung it at first, I thought the integrated ridgleline was too short, giving it way too much curve, compared to the adjustable ridgeline I have set up on my other 10 foot hammock. I was way off on this when I climbed in and understood the logic to the length. There was plenty of room to lay in whatever position I came up with. The hammock fabric comes up a bit on the sides and I never had an issue of feet hitting the screen. I did use a pillow the first night sleeping in it, but found that I didn't need it and would just use a fleece shirt rolled up under my neck for support. There's plenty of interior room too. To got to my ridgeline organizer, I would have to go up on an elbow to reach up enough to get too. Easily 3-4 feet of headroom inside. Never felt closed in at any time. I didn't go with the side pull out option, but I see how this would help improve the feeling of spaciousness.

Weight is per the website specs and I'm using whoopies & slings, so the total package is probably 20 oz or so. The included double ended sil stuff sack makes packing it up simple. I went with the removable net option, but I haven't had a need to take it completely off yet. There's a small stuff sack attached to the inside to store it in. I've had 4 nights out in it so far and have been very pleased with the comfort and keeping the bugs away! Note, pictures below are with the KAQ Jarbridge UQ.

who is Jared?
His customer service is second to none. I've gotten response emails from him at 3am, noon, and 11pm on the same day. I placed an order for a custom winter haven tarp from him using ripstopbytheroll woodland camo silnylon, he received the material yesterday afternoon, then sent an email this morning saying it would ship out today. He said it would have shipped out yesterday, but he had to wait for the seam sealing to cure. Unbelievable turn around time!!!

I will echo what has already been stated about how awesome Jared is. I have 3 of his hammocks and they are all top quality. The longest I waited to receive an order from him was 4 days from the time I ordered. He is a hammock making machine. Can't beat his prices either. Just got an 11.5' Argon hammock from him this week. It is awesome.
