My brother and I are transplants to cleveland Ohio. Went Last weekend to Allegheny and found some great hanging and terrible hanging. THe freat hanging was on Morrison Loop trail. There are several areas that have fantastic sites for multiple hangers and the wild blueberries should be ready here in a week or so. Anyway if anyone is interested in getting together in the next or so, please let me know. I would love to get a group hang together.

Definitely some good and some poor spots to hang in the ANF. Been a while since I was there. Did one of my first sub-zero hammock trips along the reservoir a few years back, we were right along the water. Brutal wind, ambient air was -11*F. . Was with all tent campers, I was the only warm and toasty one in my hammock. Also I was the only one with hot water using an alcohol stove (zelph starlyte), all the jetboils failed.

My schedule is tight at present, but would love to head back there and hang.

Check out the Northeast Ohio Backpacking Club if you want to find some like minded souls to share trail with.
Blueberries won't be ripe for another couple months, as far as I know. Sure that's what they were?

I have been seeing plenty of blueberry blossoms but I was thinking the season was running late this year. As QiWiz said NEOH does many trips; bunches in Pa. A great group that I hike with all year long. I am subscribing to this thread for any hang/hike plans you come up with. I'd be interested in joining you. Oh and I always have my dog ben along. He is trail wise and no trouble. Just sayin in case dogs are a deal breaker for you. He's the best trail dog ever! Peace, Two Tents and ben
