Placed an order with Jared yesterday around 3 for a Trail Lair. Sent me a personal note that order was received and would be starting on it today. If that wasn't enough to impress me I got a shipment notice this morning. What an amazing guy. He's made a lifetime customer. I already know the work will be excellent :)

I order what I can from Jared. The speed and quality are great. Saving up for some of his bigger ticket items!

Yea thanks dirk I got the hammock last week, tried it out, immediately sold my Hennessy and ordered the Trail Lair. No offense to Hennessy user's intended. I've tried three of their hammocks, also a blackbird, and a traveler. The SLD is just finally home for me. Next I'll see if he can do a woodland camo tarp, love to see what his tarps are like.

I have a DL 1.1 Trail Lair and a SL 1.7 WBBB XLC. I'm loving the TL, but struggling with calf ridge in the XLC. Gonna keep trying though.

I have an incredible SLD Winter Haven and am equally beautiful Trail Haven. They are both first rate, and I'd buy them again in a second.

I'd love to see some pictures of the Trail Haven.

Trail Haven in blue (12' RL and 10' width), with the 11' Trail Lair DL 1.1 in most of these pics. I also threw in a few of my kids' GT ULs in bunk bed mode, and one of SLD's mesh tarp sleeves. Oh, and SLD pole mod.

I've stated this on another post, but if you want an unbelievably comfortable hammock, have Jared make one for you from 1.6 Argon. I'm 6'3" 225# and a 11.5' SL Tree Runner from SLD is the most comfortable hammock I have ever laid in. I have two of them now and ordered enough material from Dutch to have Jared make two more just in case Dutch ever decides to change the fabric.

Placed an order for a custom Nexus net yesterday afternoon. It was in the mail this morning. That is typical service from Jared.

He's either a robot or has the best work ethic ever. I hope he doesn't burn himself out.

I'm hoping the same thing too. I've never heard a negative thing about him or his work.. Been a loyal customer for a long time, which brings me to the this next question: Why no subforum for SLD? Let's make it happen....too many SLD threads to keep track of and having them all together would be a plus.

I think Jared would have to pay a vender fee for the slot. Last time I asked he didn't seem concerned, as his word of mouth business speaks for itself.

There is no vendor fee. Vendor subforums are strictly for organizational purposes. Vendor subforums are created when members generate enough traffic that it makes sense for a separate subforum.
