Just got another jungle hammock, this time a single base layer and a SL tarp. All that's left is to get 2 Under blankets and I think we will be set. We are going to the Texas Hang to represent DD.
So it sounds like you have a few DD's.....are any of them the new jungle with 2 base layers? If so how do you like it?

My wife uses the 2 layer one and enjoys it. She keeps her sleeping pad in there and slides the whole thing in an XL sleeve.

How does the 2nd layer attach? Does it have a zip so it can be removed? I just got the single layer, and wish I got the double....

the second layer is sewn on to create a pocket for her sleeping pad. I have the single layer and love it, because I am not quite the cold sensitive person and like feeling that cooling breeze.
will be good to hear how you like the underblanket and the temps you get at the hang you are going to
since we both just got em :) I wont be getting up to the mtns for a few weeks I think :(

I have all but bought an DD Jungle after seeing yours and J's this weekend at the Texas Hang. I would get the double one to have the option for the pad. My only hesitation really is weight - decisions, decisions...

Well my wife and I ran the DD jungle Hammocks in about 37*F with the DD underblankets and a big agnes sleeping bag. Hers is the 2 layer and mine is the single layer. We were both quite comfortable and highly recommend an Underblanket. It took a little figuring to get the blanket set but man could you feel a difference. Thanks DD.

What degree rated bag? I assume (!) that being a BA bag you used it as a top quilt - that the BA has no bottom insulation?
Thanks for the update- I have the DD UQ and looking at what tha they come out with this month for a TQ

Yep I used a Lost Ranger 15* and she used a Summit Park 15* as top quilts.

Two questions if you will. What degree angle do you hang the jungle hammock, and since it's what I would call a hybrid hammock, meaning a gathered end slash bridge hammock, do you have to sleep at an angle to get a flat sleep?

You do hang a bit tighter than other hammocks. I tend to sleep on my side mostly straight
