2 Questions got with me at the spring Mahha about doing a group buy for the hammock suspension clip I was using. He said he had a friend that could make these at a reasonable price. It took a while to work out the final design, but I am happy with how it worked out. We needed it to be light, strong and affordable.

It weighs about 1/2 an ounce, holds over 1100 pounds, and costs less than $5. We decided to sell these and donate any profits to HammockForums.net as a way of providing the product and to give back to the community and the website. This replaces a carabiner for the webbing that goes around the tree. A carabiner weighs almost twice as much and costs more than twice as much. I put a stitch by hand to make sure it stays on the webbing loop so you don't lose it as you will see on the video.

The cost is $4.50 a piece plus $5 shipping for the lower 48. So that is $14 for 2 and $23 for 4. We prefer paypal, but will accept a check if you specify that is what you need. We can ship further than the lower 48, but we will have to check on additional shipping costs. We decided to make the shipping cost the same for everyone because it was simpler and all additional proceeds benefits hammock forums (your number one hammock community).
Instruction;
1. Post how many you want to buy.
2. PM 2 questions and provide him with your mailing address. He will then provide you with a PayPal account to send money.
3. After PayPal moneys have been received, 2Questions (most likely ZQ) will ship clips
4. 2Q will update summary post.
We will keep track of who has ordered and who has paid on this thread. It will take about 2 weeks to get the clips made and shipped after ordering is complete. We will take orders until August 9th. This may be a one time group buy so get them while they're hot. Let's keep this thread for ordering only so we don't miss anyone. Oh good grief, I've been following development of the Dutch clip and I knew this was going to happen. I don't own a single hammock, haven't figured out if a whoopie sling suspension is the cat's meow (but I'm not afraid of knots), SWMBO has grown tired of me laughing at Shug's videos, and she hasn't released funds for the acquisition of an airborne slumber system so...

Dutch, I like how you called the door frame of your VW bus "the other tree." And since it was a VW Bus, I'm also surprised it held. Oh wait, it's only the moving parts that break off at inconvenient times on a Volkswagen.:rolleyes::laugh:

Wow that was amazing interest. We are getting 120 out of a sheet. We have orders confirmed for 134 pcs. We can get the extra 14 out of some scrap he has at the shop completing the first 134. There are 10 waiting on to see if we get enough to make another sheet (120). If we get orders for 94 more we order another batch. Soooo you can keep requesting them in hopes of getting another 94. Seems probable since we sold 144 in the first 16 hours. Please understand that it may not be possible to fill anything over 134 but it is probable.
Thank you for your support. I'm going to love going to hangs and see all the clips out there. And here I was afraid you all switched to whoopie slings.

Another Dutch clip order!!!!
Well, I ordered another 120! We had no idea the interest would be great. I'm not able to offer these indefinitely, so after the total 240 have been ordered, the fun will stop......unless I can arrange another way to get them made in the future sometime.
