I will be hiking the whole foothills trail in SC in about a week. Does anyone know any good shuttle providers to get me from my car to the start so i can hike back to it?

When I finished my last thru-hike, Jan Jackson was at the trail head waiting to shuttle a couple of hikers from Iowa to Table Rock. I talked to her for a while, very nice lady with lots of stories to tell. I'd give her a call.

I used a guy named Dan who I got from that list when I did my hike in '05. He's not on there anymore but I didn't have any problems and he seemed like a great guy. The FTC can't be responsible for the shuttlers, but they can also remove people from the list if they get complaints. So while I don't direct experience with the names on the list, personally I'd feel comfortable using them if I took standard precautions. (e.g. let them hear you make a cell phone call to update your family on who you're in the car with and when you'll arrive at the destination to start hiking..."Yeah, you know the guy I got from the FTC website...")
