I have an Etowah 8x10 sil tarp and would like to beef up the loops that I tie the ridge line to. The currant loops/tabs are attached w/one good stitch but I just dont like the stress thats put on it. There is no room for another stitch so I would have to sew some thing on to the tarp. Is just a larger loop w/more stitches good enough? Or should I sew a loop onto a patch of nylon and then sew that to the tarp?? Any thoughts or pics would be great.

I would use a reinforcing patch if I were sewing onto the tarp fabric itself. A triangular piece with a finished side of 4-5" should be sufficient. Stitch the patch to the tarp and then stitch the loop thtough the whole thing.
