    As far as sinking goes...put a flat rock or piece of bark under the pole to prevent sinking. I use my hiking poles for porch mode. You could use sticks

    I have a short length of shock cord sewn on two corners of the pillow with a cord lock and glove hook on each. All my hammocks have some form of attachment
