I second the idea of incorporating a split ring if the grosgrain is lightweight and you decide to use a soft shackle.

2mm Lawson cord works very well with Lineloc3 hardware. Not to say Zing-It doesn't, but a less slippery cord may help with your issue.
I'm going to guess that you're using a split ridgeline? I use linelocs on one of my tarps but not on the ridgeline. On the ridgeline I have soft shackles
