You crack me up Shug:lol:
thanks shug and karl, Great review.
Hey man, you make pretty good breakfast entertainment. Thanks.
Great review. Your Yeti fits perfect with no air gaps? Loved the video.
Very informative...........And Shug-like........ Thanks sir!!
Looking good there Shug. Most informative as usual.
Hi Shug,
Thanks for bring me into the hammock world and to the WBBB :D
If I don't have the WBRR already you would have sold me this too
Great video!
Thanks for the review Shug - we do enjoy them, what was that weight limit again? :D
I am inspired to use the phrase 'dangling participle" today.
nice way to spend sipping my first cuppa tea this morning, thank-ee
As always Shug, very informative video review. Hope that knee fairs out well.
Nice looking hammock you got there, Shug.
Let us know how comfy it is for you after you get a few trail nights on it.
Awesome review Shug, yea thats right I said awesome...lol
Thanks for taking the time to do it, you mentioned the weight in your vid of 25oz (I think thats what I heard) thats hammock, poles, and suspension right? The whole kitten caboodle!
Great review Shug! Love the RR...
The tip over test nearly made me choke on my coffee! Was good to see Carl back...not sure I'd let him near my hammocks with mustard:eek:
Cheers!
ONLY HURTS IF YOU LIVE!!!! Nice video. Thanx.
Shug-tastic!
Good times! Thanks for posting. They are well made and a lot of thought went into the design.
Thanks Shug! Great tips you showed us there. It's making me really want one of these bad boys since I have been wanting one when they first came out.
Getting harder to get things past Mom aka wife!
Hey, Shug, was it just the rhythm of your catches and throws or are those spreader bars tuned to make music when you juggle?
Very good review, Shug. Thanks for the time you put in.
Boom !!! Well the hogs have been sloped and ready for bed after the much needed shugcinema. Nice review,THANKS SHUG. howes about one fer the chickins .
Via NeutronFlu I'm late on everything but what a perfect product introduction video SS, that's SalvadorShug :)
Thanks for showing the use of the older WB UQ.
Next vid request=the tarp you will use with the RR and its setup please.
Thanks again for a fantastic vid.
Shug
Months ago I came across your videos and the addiction began. (I'm the one who sent you Q's about climate in southeast and what types of equipment for the weather on You Tube). Since then every weekend is a new DIY project. Went on a short thru hike on the AT few weeks ago and felt like a 30 yr old kid. Just want to thank you for your posts and getting this guy back to the woods.
ONETIME
Yet another happy time in the nut hut with our illustrious host Shug. Great review of a fine looking product.
Looking good in that Hammock Life shirt! Can't wait for my new ones to get here. My black one makes an appearance at each hang.
Nut hut! Cat that is funny! I'll start calling my MC the Nut Hut :)
Karl was on his best behavior.
Dali leaves an impression.
We both say Thankee.
Like Theater in Branson....breakfast shows.
None I could feel though I would need to do an overnight outside to know for sure. Thanks.
It was Me-like.....
Thanks RF.
I have both now. Though gathered ends are my favorite. Bridge is like a sunday drive in a classic car.
250 pounds....250 pounds.....250 pounds))))
We never say it or use it enough. funny what stores up in our gray matter.
Thanks....foot is starting to thaw out. Like novocaine wearing off.
So I shall. Need to haul it to the piney woods for some quality time.
Just the hammock and such....poles extra.
Well there you go then......thanks
Most fun part for me!
We Hickery Brothers have lived by that.....
Shug-Thanks
Very well though out indeed. Thanks feller.
a truly nice ride.....
The various lengths change the temp and the tone. Love that stuff.
Time well spent......and fun.
Ahhhh....howz about a Chicken Reel.....
For sure. Need to mess with it and my tarps since I do not own the Cloudburst that is designed for that hammock. Mucho obligato.
Makes all this video palaver worthwhile and valid.
It is a well designed machine for sure.
Feel good and studly in it. Proud to Hang.
Mine has been labeled the Nut-Hut for a long and nutty time. As I do nuttin in there but play and lolly-gag.
Hey Shug, what kind of carabiner was that and where can a fellow (or fellowrina) get a set?
Joking:laugh:
Entertaining as always, thanks.
Good review there of a good hammock. I like mine quite a bit. Got on of the single layers with net and one without. I do enjoy stretching out for a afternoon snooze.
One thing on the buckles....do not put in a half hitch! It can cause the webbing to be pulled out of alignment in the buckles. That could cause to much load on to little webbing....very bad for staying airborne through the night.
Shug, if you have the Superfly, I'd check out Tendertoes pole mod. Saw it in action at the recent Ohio Hang and it converted me immediately, Superfly should be in the mail today. Really opens it up and you have no worry of the RR damaging the tarp
Great show as usual. I like the saddle bags on the side. I might add one to side of my old bridge. Keep us entertained till the next time I can join you on a hike.
Exactly the way they were designed. :) no half hitch and no slip.
I do pack with mine. Done a good day hike to soot some video of our quilt that's made for it and I took it on my Grand Canyon trip last month.
My trip report
Dejoha's trip report
There is a weight trade off to use it but when you look at quilts like the lynx or RidgeCreek versus others they are able to save weight by being narrower. Then if you were to use your hiking poles for spreader bars they become a weight savings and dual use. So you get closer to a wash versus hiking with a BB for example. Against a small light GE then no your probably not saving any weight but the comfort for me of the RR is enough to justify it.
No Superfly but I got several tarps to play with and I have a pole mod in one of them. Had them over my Grizz-Bridge before. Silnylon would be my preffered tarp over a bridge as I popped a hole in my Cuben with the GrizzBridge as they pitch so tightly.
Yessir...those saddlebags are too cool. Look forward to seeing you again.
Nice....I did not know that you had a UQ designed for the RR. Could I link that video on mine in an annotation?
Still cleaning up a page for the RR gear...needs a final spit shining befor I publish. Soon though. :boggle:
Link to the video on the new youtube channel....hope and plan to do many new videos and how to's for AHE this year.
Another fantastic gear review/demo my friend! I’ve always DIY’d my enclosed (integrated noseeum) hammocks but must say your review of the RR has me thinking about giving the thread injector a break and making a purchase on the next one? As for the video, you’re a Maestro in the art! The opening 360 pan is smooth smooth…I envy the camera work and like always, looking forward to your next one!
Always good to watch a video from your hand Shug. Thanks for sharing. Though still missing seeing you in a Traveler and getting your take on it.
Best of wishes,
Blaze :)
Thanks for the Ridgerunner review Shug! Well done and entertaining - as always. My ridgerunner converted me to a full-time hammocker this year. Looking forward to your review after some trail time with the Ridgerunner.
By the way- The Lynx underquilt fits the Ridgerunner like a glove and of course, doesn't interfere with the saddlebags. Also the WL summer half quilt and the WL full length winter quilts both fit the ridgerunner quite well too.
Take care Shug - you need that knee!
Thanks.....used my hillbilly camera dolly for that shot.
I don't have a Traveller to try)))) Otherwise you would see a video for sure. But I have plenty of hammockry. Thankee Blaze. All secure.
Thanks. My Frankenquilt fits it well too.
Hey brother - I love your stuff! Perfect the office blues. and thanks for the added information as well!
Great review Shug, you've got me considering selling some of my hammocks and getting the bridge. Of course I could just keep my current gear, save up some sheckles and buy one :D
