This large JRB Tarp is the most capable tarp available for either hammock or ground camps. Loaded with perimeter tabs, ridge line tabs, panel pulls, pole grommets and spring pole guides this tarp may be configured to conform to a nearly any configuration required or desired.

Pan I can't wait to see this tarp. It looks great and is very versatile.

My JRB Universal Tarp arrived yesterday! (Ordered Thursday evening, arrived Saturday morning, not bad!) I had previously acquired the JRB spring poles thinking that I could modify my Chinook tarp which has a about the same dimensions. Glad I changed my mind! Not sure the difference, but the Universal Tarp feels much lighter than my old Chinook 12'x9.5' tarp. Daughter is getting married next Sunday so I won't be able to set up the tarp until after the wedding (too much going on).

does anyone have any updates on how this tarp is working on bridge hammocks? any stability issues in wind or weather getting in?

I had it out on my C&O Canal bike ride early this month. The tarp is really nice and I like the fact that the seams are sealed when you get the tarp. My tarp is the brown variety (non-camo). The spring-poles really open up the tarp. One thing I noticed is that you have to take care in placing your tent stakes because the spring poles put some pulling pressure on the stakes. My judgement is that stability in wind is a function of how well you stake down the tarp. Given that there are more attachment points on this tarp than any other tarp I can name, no excuses if you don't stake the tarp properly.

I have four tarps (Kelty Noah, DD Hammocks, Chinook, & JRB Universal) and this is by far the best of the bunch. JRB products are high quality and a great value.
