invites you to come HANG with us at the beautiful
Huntington Beach State Park!

Where: Huntington Beach State Park, Murrell's Inlet, SC
Site: Primitive Site #3
When: Thursday, August 21 - Sunday, August 24
Cost: FREE for Supporting PSH Members & First time hangers
$5 for everyone else
Meals: Group meal for Saturday supper
All others On Your Own, unless someone volunteers to provide other meals
Of course, there will be BACON & SPAM for breakfast!

Gate Code: TBA (gate closes at 10:00pm)

The primitive site #3 is a short walk from the parking lot...about 50 yards. There are bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks and an outside open shower on the back of the bathroom. The primitive area is located just behind the dunes in a nice, wooded area. The walk to the beach is a raised boardwalk about 100 yards long from the parking lot to the shore.

I am so happy we'll be by the beach. No pollen this time, YAY!!!

One day I'm gonna make a special effort to attend a SC beach hang. But this year, alas, I'll be in Maine hiking on the Appalachian Trail for a few days.

Rain Man, I'm envious of your AT hike. Hunting Island is a beautiful place, but we are going to HUNTINGTON BEACH, which is up near Myrtle Beach in Murrell's Inlet. I hope you can join us sometime on a hang. We would love for you to come down.
One day, I hope we can have a hang at Hunting Island, but there are only a few sites near the beach that have enough trees. We will have to investigate if it's feasible for a group. Have fun on your trip!

I MIGHT be able to make one night for this. My wife has some training in Savannah, GA that will be ending on the 21st. Looks like only about 3 hours from Savannah up there and we LOVE Huntington beach State park. Used to stay a week every summer until a few years ago when our son "outgrew" us.... Will keep you all posted.

Half and half. Might rain, might not rain.

The thing about SC in the summer is the weatherman has it super easy.
