So I am very new to all this hammocking stuff! But I'm very interested in not sleeping on the ground anymore. I really like the simplicity and ease of set-up using webbing. I have found some 2" polypropylene webbing that has an average break strangth of 800 lbs. I weigh about 310 and was wondering if that would be strong enough for me. Any thing else from yall would be great!
They say that you want the weight limit to be at least three times your weight.
Polypropylene isnt the best material for straps, its stretches quite a bit. Polyester webbing is much better.

I have never had a problem with polypro straps stretching and I use them exclusively. (cheaper). Nylon stretches badly and is not recommended for straps.
I just picked up some polypro from strapworks, but haven't used it yet. In Grizz's webbing episode he uses polypro so I am going to assume it is good stuff.
I have been playing with both polypro an polyester. Polypro does have more stretch than polyester, but the stretch happens immediately upon loading. Nylon seems to take hours to stretch.
