Mine means I'm hungry.
A few of my ancestors were members of the Donner Party. I still carry the last name, minus one of the "n"s. Just seemed a very fitting name to carry with me on my AT hike. Way I figured, it would remind me of how bad things could actually be and possibly help me get over my whining, gritching, and moaning. Just a good way to remember: things can always be worse than they are right now.
That, and I like to see the looks on people's faces when I introduce myself. :sneaky::D

nothermark = (just a)nother mark. I've been using it for years after running into too many other folks named Mark. AKA ;-)

I wanted something short and easy to spell.
We were in Georgia picking bluegrass at a festival and were playing "Cry Holy Unto The Lord" and I was singing it. When we finished an old fiddler said" that feller sang that like sugar." I immediately said "ya'll call me Shug!".
It stuck.
Shug

It's a light gathering organ on some insects. Latin for "simple eye". I am an entomologist and home inspector.
It fits with both professions.

It is my name. Boring I know.

Mine is from a video game I played years ago and I have been using the same screen-name since I first logged on to the internet.

My user name is pretty plain. C is for Chuck Evans...cevans...on a few other forums years ago, I used to use the name Acer which was my name gained from walking point all the time in Vietnam. I was the best at finding the boobie traps and trip wires until I lost my nerve after walking point for 7.5 months. Got away from it as a trail name cause it kept bringing up the memories of Nam and just went with a plain name. Considering changing someday again. For now, I just keep it simple.

Do not have a nickname other than a shortening of my last name, but not since high school 35 years ago. So I took Crazy Chester from a line of one of my favorite songs titled "The Weight" by the rock band, The Band.
No other reason than that....

My wife and I ballroom dance as a hobby. I finally got her to go out on the hiking trail one time and we danced a Tango on the hiking trail. Someone saw us dancing and said "you 2 Tango" I have been 2Tango ever since.
