First backyard hang
I placed my order for a 1.1 dbl BB last Friday and received it today. Five days total. Brandon rocks. Set up in the backyard to test tonight. Fortunately, the weather broke for the first time in several weeks and I think it might get into the high 50s. Perfect breaking in weather. No chance of rain, so going tarpless. Here are some pics. First pic shows the new baby, with my Jarbridge River 3/4 underquilt from AHE. (I noticed they are on an incredible sale right now if you are interested). Second is the triangle thingy attachment to the quilt showing it going OVER the footbox. (Thanks Shug). At first it bugged me because it crossed the box exactly where my ankle was, but I adjusted the entire quilt a couple of inches closer to the head end and it seemed to make a difference. I might have given up a couple inches of coverage, but it seems to seal better at the head end and doesn't bother me at the foot end. We will see.
The third is the close up of the new ribbon tie back for the bug net. Works great. The last is the shelf tied out fully. I added AHE glow in the dark zipper pulls and made a prussik on the ridgeline to mitten clip a small shock cord that is attached to my Exped pillow. My top insulation is my Big Agnes 40 degree Cross Mountain. Unfortunately, it is a right zip, so I will have to caterpillar in, but my left zip bag is too warm for tonight. Small sacrifice. I don't have foot insulation for now, but it shouldn't be a problem. Thinking of getting a torso pad from JRB and cutting it to fit in the pad sleeve of my BA bag. Thanks to everyone on this forum who have answered my endless questions and provided such good info.

Sleep tight! You've got nice gear and a good location.

I wish I had your tree set up in my yard! Enjoy. I have to hang my pole garage and it lacks the outdoor ambience of trees. I could hang in the cow pasture, but they would probably think I was a back rub :D

Have a good time and enjoy yourself

Mighty nice looking rig you got there. Don't mind the odd looks from the neighbors. After a couple weeks they just start looking the other way.

Wow, that's quick delivery, I placed my order on the 15th July and still waiting, If only Brandon lived next door to me.
