It was a wet one and the Ground dwelling Scouts and Leaders were wet and I mean wet all weekend. Our camp site looked like we were in the Everglades. When you stepped down on the ground it looked like you were stepping on a sponge. But I gave three Scouts extra hammocks that we had gotten from Forum members and man did they love them. All of us hammock hangers were dry all weekend long. We left Friday and came home Monday and you could tell who was in a hammock and who was in the tents. I was so wet and rainy Friday and Saturday that the Scout master throws his tent in the dumpster Monday before we left. Sunday I cleared up a little and we drove the Scout in to Chicago to the Field museum and Millennium Park. We also found a little break in the weather to do a service project were we shoveled sand off the curbs and walkways on the beach. All in all we had a great time. All the gear you all sent us works great. Littlebogg loves all of it and I had you wake him up every morning and pry him out of the new sleeping bag and hammock. I myself slept in bliss in the new hammock and sleeping bag. Thanks again to you all. By the way I now have three Adult Scout leaders looking into hammocks of there own now. And I even got to us an extra hammock on the beach to take a bit of a break when we were doing our service project.
