It just occurred to me last night that Hammock Forums turned 1 year old on Oct 7 of this year. Since then we have 876 members, 1976 threads, and staggering 31,781 post and growing.
I hereby decree October official Hammock Forums birthday month!!!:D Here's to one of the best forums on the internet

There should be an annual hang to celebrate. Car camping so that the cake and kegs don't have to be hauled up a mountain. :)

Actually, the MAHHA hang was on October 5-7. Next year I'll bring a cake :^) Do we need to do a survey to see what everyone wants? lol

Yep, the hammock Forums came to be only a few weeks after my virgin hang. Which I came back from in need of much info about how to solve several problems I had during my week of hanging. And there was the newly formed HF to solve all of my problems! Except, of course, the problem of hammock addiction, which it only made worse.
