Getting ready to pull trigger
Hi all. I just came off the AT (NJ) this past weekend, while laying on the cold rocky ground I thought why not a hammock. I spoke to a guy using one (HH) for the 1st time & he said he loved it, after getting it adjusted & positioned correctly. I have been researching & emailing for the last 2 days & have it narrowed to the HH & 1.1 DL WBBB. Im a big side sleeper, starting on my back then side to side. I would love to order by the end of this week for my next trip. I guess im looking for some insite on the latest & greatest improvements on both or anyones personal experience with both, Im open to all suggestions. Im 6'1" tall & 195lbs. :):)
Second on that Bias WW Micro
I recently purchased a BIAS WW Micro DL with the Knotty mods. Great, great great hammock. I am coming off an ENO DN. All that extra material on the DN can be annoying, I love the view from the WW Micro and at 11' it is a lot more comfortable. My whole rig, including the Bias bugnet, whoopies, tree straps and toggles, in a bishops bag comes to just under 30 oz. I am very pleased. I added a Wilderness Logic tadpole tarp, a great low weight cat cut build. I have not been through any bad weather with the setup yet, but feel confident I will do just fine. Like you I spent many an hour researching products. I am absolutely amazed at the incredible customer service I received from everyone of the cottage vendors recommended through this forum. Special thanks to BIAS, Wilderness Logics, Arrowhead, and Whoopie. Everyone of them over delivered. good luck with your choice!
