Skeeter Beeter Pro mods
I love my SBP, but hate those shock cord tieouts for the mosquito netting. So, I decided to do the Grizz mod to mine. Turned out great! One slight difference I did was, the grosgrain on the inside, I sewed a loop at each end. This is so I can hang a pillow, stuff sack or whatever. Because this hammock is made to flip over and use without netting, I'm making the ridgeline detachable at one end. IMHO, this is the perfect mod for this hammock. Thanks Grizz!

Very nicely done! I had not considered making the SRL detatchable on one end. Humm. I may need to try that....

Hang, how did you go about making the ridge line detachable? Looking to mod my SBP soon. P.s. Sorry for the 2 year gap between post and comment... New to the forum.

Great idea. I've been sleeping in my SB (not the Pro) flipped over for the winter. The other day I tried to just clip the tieouts to my ridgeline, but the netting fell into my face. This is a nice solution.

Well guys...just jumped back into hammocks since my scout days back in the 80s. Got a free GTSBP so I thought I would try it out. First hang was great, but really needs a ridgeline as you all suggest.
I was concerned about getting the position of the hole just right so I didn't tear the netting, so in order to give me some adjustability - I added Velcro to each end. I used the reusable cable ties. Since I am not great at sewing, it allowed me to sandwich netting between two pieces - then sew together. I then sewed the ends of the velcro so it could not tear out.
Little bit different than the previous mod but so far so good....

What did you use for ridgeline, size and type of cord, Thanks

Sorry for the slow response. I use a small piece of amsteel that I got from a scouting buddy of mine that did a group buy on HF. Spent about 15 nights it in so far and has worked perfectly. Very happy with my mod and it hangs very well.

Is there a step-by-step instructional for this "GRIZZ MOD"?
I would also like to implement this into my hammock.
EDIT: Found it...
