How about a Fall Mahha 2012 Movie night??

Do you plan to attend the Fall Mahha? I need some feedback.

I have an idea about having a Saturday night movie night. Set up a sheet in the pavilion, project your favorite hiking videos (10 minute overview vids), make popcorn, finish off the food left over from the potluck, etc.

It wouldn't take much to pull off...a DVD player, projector, white sheet, electric, speakers...popcorn! Wait til dark and have fun!

Interested? I'll keep a scorecard of participants and things needed. Let me know.

Dark comes early, and usually we're hard pressed to finish the raffle while everyone can still see their numbers. Then up the hill for campfires and talk. My 2 cents.

Is a Saturday afternoon another possibility? Could be a rainy day option.
I do like the banter around the campfire...don't want to miss that.

Now that a good idea IMHO, Sat afternoon, By Sat. night after the raffle I'm always ready for some good oll campfire banter.

I'm for it in the afternoon too. But will it be too light in the afternoon to see the movies on the sheet?

Ditto on doing it Saturday afternoon rather than Saturday evening.

Gotta make sure that I get my quota of "smores."

Interesting concept. Just one thing to consider. Electrical power. Will the pavilion have an electical hookup?

...ZQ here...this thread/discussion was for the Fall 2012 MAHHA....we can see if there is any interest for a movie afternoon when the planning starts for the Spring 2013 MAHHA and/or the Fall 2013 MAHHA. 2Q will start a planning thread for the spring hang soon.:)
