Speer Modification

I recently bought a Speer hammock without the tarp. I wanted to use the carabiner/buckle system: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...highlight=ring
as I had done on my 2 Hennessy hammocks. What I did was I untied the whipping and took off the straps. Now I had a loop already sewn in the webbing and it was off to buy the biners and rings. I used the zip ties to whip the hammock:www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeHammock2.html Gained about 10 inches of extra length on the hammock vs. Speer whipping.
