we also had a unexpected and uninvited guest on friday night,a racoon.friday night a racoon left his foot prints in sunstrikes car when he got into a loaf of bread.saturday night bigbamaguy ran one off that got into hamburger buns.

And yes, a great time was had by all and we even converted and indoctrinated a new soul, I believe. The guy in the RV said he'd be looking up this forum for some hamocking opportunities in NW AL and MS.
The young fellow with More was HangingOnTheEdge. I forget his wife's (girlfriend's?) name, though.

Several asked about my folding chair with the built-in foot rest. It was a gift to me many years ago, but I think it may have come from Walmart. It is an "Ozark Trail" brand.
A quick online search seems to indicate that neither Walmart nor Ozark Trail has that chair any more, but I did find some others of similar design--

We, mandydawn and myself, had a great time as always! It was great to see some old faces and meet all the new people who attended. Once again there was no shortage of food as this hang and I want to tell all about a wonderful dish that was brought, BBQ Spaghetti. Thats right, BBQ Spaghetti!!!!!! I have had a great many meals at hangs and on the trail but this is now my new favorite. It came from Memphis and I will be working diligently in the cooking laboratory to perfect this dish. We will see ya'll in the fall again.

I had one of the chairs like yours many years ago and it was an Ozark Trails as well and yes, it was purchased at Wal-mart. Thank you for the links to the other chairs.
next hangout we can all go kayaking or canoeing on the buffalo river.the put in point is about 6 miles from camp and the takeout point is 4 miles from camp:cool:neo
:)i ate 2 servings of the BBQ Spaghetti.it was great.tnhillbillys bbq and peach cobbler rocked also.lots of great food ewker and hamhockers wings were great,plus there was corn on the cob and veggies from bigbamaguy and pecan pie from shiela.i also as always enjoy breakfast at davy crockett state park:cool:neoQuote:

I too had a great time even with a bad back. Good to see everyone again and meeting the new folks, even some from Columbia.
The food everyone brought was great. You don't have to worry about what time the meal is, just look up and if rainman is there, it's time.

I will try to make your Nashville Backpakers meeting. I think I had looked at the times and I will be a little late getting there because of work.
I also have a chair with the foot rest. It came from an Essex Outlet here in town a couple years ago.
