Great pix. Looks like a very cool place. The little shelter with the picnic table is pretty interesting too.

Keep me in mind,I can come through Bastrop and we could car pool.
I just wish I had more time to explore there.
There was more caves, hiking trails, game trails and bike trails.
Great vids and pics. How did you select and tie off to the rocks?
great pictures! man I wish I could check those caves out
If you guys come back this way for another Palo Duro adventure, be sure to hit me up. I don't know if you're into hiking trails, exploring, rock hopping and that sort of thing, but I've mapped a lot of trail out there, some are extreme rock scrambling and bolder hopping, but fun none the less.
PM me for my tracks file. I'd post it, but the forum doesn't accept .gpx attachments. The park map/hand out from the ranger station is so vague/inaccurate it's not funny.
I know this is an old post...but it came up in my search. I'm headed to PD this March and have a water/electric site reserved. I'd like for my daughter and I to both be able to hang - are there sufficient trees at the campsites so that we don't have to hang from the shade shelter? I'm just not sure my 11-foot hammock and her 10-foot hammock will fit together under that. :-/
