Help picking a tarp...
Hey all-- HAPPY 2013!!!! this is going to be a good year-- i can feel it..
Ok.. So trying to figure out what tarp to get.. But the obvious choice just isnt presenting itself to me... So figured id reach out and see what the HF crew thinks..
I want something light weight, but i like to sleep in-- so cuban wont work-- something darker... Black or brown? Strong... I like the idea of doors should it get really windy-- yet can also tie them open should it be nice..
Hammock is a switchback from tttg-- so it should be about 12' long
What do you guys think?

Mine has it All
I have a MacCat Deluxe, that I just had doors added to it. Here's a link to a picture of it as well..

Even without the doors it's a great tarp. I've had it in some mean storms and it held up great. I've also added a center pole which gives it a lot more room on the inside.

Paul at UGQ http://www.undergroundquilts.com/ is very approachable and helpful, as are other vendors here I'm sure.

i started with a "winter" tarp, large w/doors.
my tarps are from Wilderness Logics, the Oldman Winter is a great first tarp that you will hang on to. and 4 colors to pick from.
thats how i keep dry.

I've got a superfly and I love it. The Oldman Winter is also awesome. I also love my Tadpole, but it's a bit smaller and doesn't have doors.

Superfly all the way! If you act quickly, Warbonnet still has their holiday sale going...

+1 on the superfly. Can't beat the size w/ doors and craftsmanship for the money. It packs crazy small too.
