If you are looking to buy any of their stuff its on sale right now. My wife got a promo code in the mail and I used it yesterday. 25% off but not useable on first ascent. :( Code is SUNSHINE. I'm going to try out the 10k/10k rated rain jacket they have.
I have zero affiliation with EB but I do love the First Ascent cloud layer fleece.

OK, I admit it...I've purchased Eddie Bauer stuff. Got a $200 Ebtech rain coat at Goodwill for $6. Got an Eddie bauer hat at Salvation Army for $1.50 How's that for on sale? I still look more like a homeless guy than a yuppy.

I live pretty close to the Eddy Bauer warehouse store in Columbus, OH. Part of the store carries what they have in their outlets, part of the store is super cheap warehouse closeouts (stuff that didn't sell in their stores), part of the store is all First Ascent gear at 50% off, and they have a scratch and dent section that is only open on certain days of the week where you can get super super cheap stuff (if you are willing to root through the bins to find it.)
If you join Eddy Bauer's Friends rewards program, you will constantly get those great discount codes, rewards points and alerts to members only sales. My favorite is when they have their 40% off members only sale on everything in the store including First Ascent....
My wife and I do most of our clothing shopping at the EB warehouse. The muted colors fit both of our fashion sensibilities. And now, most of my clothing that I wear backpacking is First Ascent that I got on the cheap.

I have quite a bit a First Ascent gear now (all bought using different promotional deals) and I've been very satisfied with all of it. The downlight jacket keeps me toasty warm when it's freezing out.
