Hey guys,
Just wanted to share my experience from my 5 day trip last week. I took a Survival Basics course and brought along my hammock setup for the sleep. This was my very first experience with both a top and under quilt as well as down. Let me just say WOW. I have experienced perfection! It was by far the most comfortable sleep ever, since first starting out in this style of rest.
Not once was I cold in the very least, it was also nice not having to sleep in layers, neck buff, beanie and gloves as usual.
In fact, on the coldest night, I was actually too warm. Go figure...
I am absolutely in love with the setup and cannot wait to go back out and do it again. It's the closest experience I've had to sleeping on an actual bed so far- both in terms of warmth and comfort.
I also want to thank Shug, the good folks at Hammock Gear, Warbonnet, and you guys. This place has been a huge help in my search for the perfect sleep outdoors. Shugs videos have always been a huge help- and continue to be. The folks at Hammock Gear rushed out my order and make an awesome product, and Warbonnet makes some amazing gear.
See everyone on the trails.
My Setup:
Warbonnet Superfly Tarp
Warbonnet 1.1 dbl BlackBird w/ Whoopie suspension and Dutch Hooks
Hammock Gear 20* Incubator
Hammock Gear 20* Burrow w/ sewn footbox
