Thanks for all the warm welcome backs. I am glad I am over the blues and back on the forum it helps. Talking to some of the folks here that have had the same thing done. I do not think I will be back up to where I need to be by the time the out is going to be. So I guess I will have to wait until Spring. I do not want to push it and make it longer before I can hang and not hurt things. So I will have to wait and see.

Welcome back!
GLP and I called for some time last night and come to find out we had almost the same thing done. It is good to know in a wierd way that I am not the only person going through this. Brothers of the back here on Hammock Forum.

Well tried a test hang with the boy in the back yard over the weekend. Well it lasted a whole ten minutes when my good old DIY hammock gave up the ghost. It ripped where my backside was. Lucky for me I didn't fall to the ground. I think the zipper in my sleepingbag must of worn a hole in my hammock. So now I have to find a new hammock. My luck is just getting better and better.

Glad to hear you're back on your feet... there were a few of us that were wondering why you went MIA...
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery...
Thanks everyone for the kind words and for all the help you all have given to me and my son. I hope to be back in the Piney woods soon. My back is still not well enough to hang just now. But I just ordered a HH safari with out the bug net and this will give me something to keep me occupied until I can get back out there. Now all I have to do is heal up and dream about hanging.

Welcome back brother. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.
Thanks for the warm wishes and prayers. They are much appreciated. Had a friend pass some 1.9 rip stop in Foliage green my way today. I will be stating on my new DIY Single layer Traveler just as soon as I find a friend that can let me use there tread injector and show me how to use it. I am pumped to have something to keep me busy. I am really looking forward to getting out in the woods again for a good old hang. I also ordered one of the HH Safaris with out the net to play around with. Now all I have to do is get them going and work out how to stay warm and away we will go.
