Not an amateur
And yet, over he went. This is my 10 year old; joining me on a cool, 30 degree October weekend off of the Munger trail.

And at 4 a.m:

He slept right through it, and I woke him at 8 to go home. Good thing we were car camping and augmented the old school green Coleman bag with a comforter on top, because he was no longer on a pad.
I had time to take down my hammock to get a better photo. The flip never woke him.
These are cheap, P.O.S. Parrot Bay hammocks that already had torn bug nets. We used them because the bugs are done. No tarp for this night. To darn nice, and WAY to many stars to hide with PU nylon.

That's awesome. I'm gonna show my son these.

Haha , great
And he really didn't wake up, amazing.

oh geez, that's so cute! kids can sleep through anything..
-
Heeheehee, that's great, I love it!
-
 That is classic! Kids can sleep through anything!

Had I set the suspension a wee bit lower, I suspect he'd have woken up. Amazingly, he could still sway. 1/2 inch clearance from the ground at MOST!
-
Glad he wasn't hurt, glad he didn't wake up and be scared out of his gord!
Now with that said:laugh::laugh::laugh:, it never ceases to amaze me what kids will sleep through, that is a pic that should be saved and brought out at the most opportune time (for you)!!!

I will add though, they may be cheap hammocks, but, this just shows how well made they actually are!!!

Great photos! What a cute kid - mine is now 14 and has hit the awkward teen stage. They CAN sleep through anything!
