I figured I would post this video of my recent DIY build here in case anyone is interested.
Nothing too special here, just another black cat build with some small modifications. It is made with silnylon 2nds from DIYgearsupply.
The tarp turned out a LOT bigger than I pictured it and a little heavier as well :(. In the stuff sack it comes in at 15.6 oz. I think if I were to do it again I would go a little shorter and not quite so wide.
As a side note I pitched the tarp with a hiking pole as a tent and it worked excellently.
I have one question if anyone can answer it for me: Has anybody modified a standard black cat with interior pullouts on the cat cuts that would allow for a "door closed" pitch?

Nice job, the video is helpful. I am almost ready to start my own DIY tarp, you video helps me visualize what my tarp will look like in a best case situation. Thank you for posting.

Interesting use of just a loop of shock cord as a tensioner. I always see more elaborate schemes.... But I don't know why that would not work just fine.
