Newbie on the Gulf Coast
Hey guys and gals,
Chris here from south Alabama. Been a tent camper for years, and just got my first hammock (eno DN) as a gift from my brother-in-law who got off the ground about a year ago. Looking forward to getting it out in the wild. Thanks for all the great info and tutorials on this site. I've saved years of trial-and-error already :).

I'll be in your neck of the woods in 3 weeks, well Orange beach actually, close enough.
I'll be hanging on a diy handy hammock stand on the beach, hopefully!
If I don't hurt myself first :scared:

I'm definitely aware of the mosquitos :). I may be mistaken, but I think they are the state bird here in AL. WillJack, let me know how the beach hang goes. I've perused the coast looking for a spot, but no trees, and I don't have a stand....need to build one I guess. There's some camping in the Gulf Shores State Park...I'm taking some kids from our youth group camping in the fall and plan on using my hammock if they don't have any restrictions. Let me know if you find a good spot. War Eagle!
