Hey guys and girls - Here is another video I put together from this past weekend. I went to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky for some climbing and hiking. We arrived late Saturday night and returned home late Tuesday night. The amount of cars and people at the camp site on Saturday was pretty staggering when we pulled up, so that caused me to sleep in a tent for the first time since I switched away from them :(
We slept 4 mammals (3 people and my 88 pound dog, Archer) in the tent all three nights. I assure you that I missed my hammock. I did however get to stack my under and top quilt on top of me while sleeping on a crash pad, so I was plenty warm even down in the 20's.
Here's a 4 minute video of the weekend put to some music. I hope you enjoy. Remember to switch it to HD and happy Thanksgiving!

I know.... I did carry my hammock in my pack everywhere I went though (that's got to count for something).

It sure was a great video, and as 2ply said, even if there wasn't a hammy in sight! It reminded me of the GoPro videos, and I love them there videos! Cool dog! Great vid and I hope you get more into hammy camping! Carrying one with you, kind of, sort of, just about counts for something! Get to work making another video, but this time, at least show us a drawing of a hammock. lol Thanks for the video, Jd1987, I really enjoyed it and hope to see more, on the go, GoPro, videos from you, so I can take more notes!

Cool video, jd!
Brings back great memories. Went to seminary in KY, and spent a lot of time at RRG, Daniel Bone NP, Clifty Wilderness, and the Cumberland Trail.

Nice video! I'm afraid I'm too old for that "vertical hiking" but it sure looks like fun! I was waiting to see if Archer the pooch was going to scale the wall. ;)
The one part I didn't understand was that scene with all those colorful fabric igloos out in that field?

Haha I know I know - no hammock videos are sort of sad. I've got a few other videos and I think ALL of them have my hammock in them. I (very) comfortably spent almost every night for 6 weeks in my hammock last summer, so I know exactly what I was missing on this trip:( But it was pretty fun sleeping right next to my dog instead of him being under me for a change.
And taking notes eh?! Let me know if you have any questions. I learn a little bit more with each video and would be happy to discuss camera tactics with you !

Thanks Mike - Yeah Kentucky was a really a neat place. I'll have to explore it more next time. It's a beautiful place.

Hah thanks man - Igloos are right. The tent walls were covered in ice the first morning. And my back is still sore. Definitely not my first choice.
