PNW considering hammocks
Hello all - just de-cloaking to check out some info.
Been lurking for a few months, ever since I heard of your forum, on ADVrider.com.
At a January rally, one of the guys had a hang instead of a tent, but I didn't get to check it out too much.
Lurking around I learned about "Hang-ins" so was checking to see if there were any in my area (Rainier to Mt St Helens to the Olympics would work for me :shades:) and found one for this August in Oregon - close enough. :D
Mostly a motorcycle camper, and used to bringing everything I need for three or four days; I enjoy campfire, hiking, motorcycling... and anything that can be combined with any of those three activities.
Seeya' 'round!:)
Oh yeah - and of course, I enjoy Smilies too... ;)

welcome from Portland! as a recent transplant to the PNW, I gotta say, some beautiful terrain out this way!
-
Been here a couple years myself, and I agree whole-heartedly.
I'm between the Olympics, Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens, so it's really nice to have a variety of terrain within an hour or two's drive/ride.
Portland - you've got the same set-up with even MORE interesting stuff on the east side. Seems we don't have as many natural hot springs as y'all do. :D
Thanks! Seeya' out there sometime.
